The Australian Fencing Federation Inc (AFF) runs four Open National competitions every year, including the Australian National Championships. All four Open National events are accompanied by Veterans' events. All National Championships (except Veterans') incorporate both Team and Individual events. AFF individual events are open to any WAFA affiliated fencer who wishes to compete. Fencers can apply to attend through WAFA using the attached form, preferably by 26th October.
Where the AFF competition incorporates a team event, WA team entries will be arranged by WAFA. Teams will be selected by the WAFA Selectors in accordance with the WAFA Selection Policy.
The entry fee for open events is $45 per weapon.
The entry fee for veterans is a flat $45 for entry into any or all of the veteran competitions.
For example to enter the Open Foil, Open Sabre, Veterans’ Foil, Veterans’ Sabre and Veterans’ Epee would cost $135. $45 for each of the open events and another $45 for all of the veterans’ events.
This form must be completed and received by WAFA no later than the 26th of October else you will incur a late fee equal to the cost per weapon entered. For example if you are late and wish to enter the Open Epee and Open foil you will have to pay $90 plus and additional fee of $45 per weapon for a total of $180.
